Face Recognition + Swing Turnstile

Pedestrian lane management for offices, campuses and schools. Binocular liveness detection paired with SUS304 stainless swing gates gives 0.2-second passage, accepts face, QR code and card credentials, and keeps working when the network is down.

Standard packages

Two tiers, priced per lane

A lane is formed by two cabinets. Single-direction recognises entry only (or exit only); bidirectional recognises both. Additional lanes are priced per lane.

About pricing
  • Figures are indicative ranges. Final pricing is confirmed by formal quotation and varies with configuration, quantity, site conditions and exchange rates.
  • "Equipment" covers the hardware and bundled accessories, landed in Canada. It excludes on-site installation, cabling, civil works, power supply provisioning and permits.
  • "Turnkey" is a starting price: it adds on-site installation, commissioning and system integration, with the final figure confirmed after a site survey. Civil works, trenching and permits remain excluded.
  • Software licences and cloud platform annual fees are quoted separately. Warranty 12 months (excluding misuse, lightning and force majeure). An annual maintenance agreement is available after the warranty period.
  • Supply voltage can be specified for the destination market. Please confirm local electrical standards and compliance requirements before ordering.
Notes for the Canadian market
  • Supply: rated 220V±10% 50/60Hz (198–242V permitted); 50 W single-movement / 100 W dual-movement. A Canadian 240V split-phase two-pole circuit falls within this range and can be used directly. A standard 120V receptacle cannot be used directly — provide a dedicated 240V two-pole circuit, or order a 110–120V variant from us.
  • Certification: every Canadian province and territory requires electrical equipment to carry certification from an SCC-accredited body (CSA / cUL / cETL) before an installation can be approved. Each shipment is field-evaluated to SPE-1000 by an SCC-accredited body and labelled unit by unit. This cost is included in the equipment price and is not charged separately. Sustained volume orders can move to full product certification, agreed at that point.
  • Biometric compliance: facial recognition is governed federally by PIPEDA and requires valid consent; Quebec's Law 25 additionally requires a privacy impact assessment (PIA) to be completed and filed with the regulator beforehand. These are preconditions for deployment, not options. We can provide PIA support and filing templates, quoted separately.
  • Installation environment: swing gates are indoor equipment, suited to office lobbies, campus entrances and building foyers. The manufacturer does not publish an operating temperature range or IP rating for the gate housings. For outdoor or semi-outdoor placement (unheated vestibules, garage entries), say so in your enquiry and we will confirm with the manufacturer before quoting.
  • Power failure and fire safety: the cabinets ship with supercapacitors; the wings open automatically on power loss, consistent with Canadian requirements that a means of egress not be obstructed. Whether this satisfies the fire review for a given project is determined by the local AHJ.
  • Quebec language requirement: Law 96 requires French on product markings, packaging, manuals and software interfaces, in type no smaller than any other language. Quoted separately per model.

What the site needs to provide

Client scope
  • Level floor at the lane position and permission to anchor into it (confirm lobby tiling can be drilled)
  • Power and earthing to each cabinet
  • Network access and a location for the management workstation
  • Interface documentation if integration with access control, attendance or visitor systems is required
  • Local compliance steps for biometric collection (see note below)
Our scope (turnkey package)
  • Cabinet positioning, anchoring, wiring and swing wing fitting
  • Infrared sensor calibration and anti-pinch testing
  • Face module mounting, angle adjustment and threshold tuning
  • Software deployment, person database import and permission setup
  • End-to-end testing and on-site training
On biometric compliance Facial data is biometric information and is separately regulated in many jurisdictions. In Canada, federal PIPEDA requires meaningful consent, and Quebec's Law 25 additionally requires a privacy impact assessment and prior notification to the regulator. Please confirm local requirements before deployment. We can assist with the privacy impact assessment and provide regulator notification templates — quoted separately.
